Sculpture Installation at Handsworth Park Arts Trail

Handsworth Park Arts Trail

Following a triumphant temporary Arts Trail in 2015, Handsworth Creative established a permanent Arts Trail in the resplendent Handsworth Park. This trail, meticulously developed over three years, introduces innovative public art into the picturesque setting of Handsworth Park in Birmingham. The Arts Trail was officially inaugurated by the distinguished local photographer Vanley Burke on the 6th of October, 2017. Artworks, selected through an open commission, involve collaboration with local community members and schoolchildren. The Arts Trail also encompasses existing pieces of art within Handsworth Park. The selection panel included representatives from Friends of Handsworth Park, Birmingham City Council, and Handsworth Creative. Additionally, smaller, temporary art pieces are showcased on the Plinth by the Boathouse Café.
